Group Care
While facility licensing or certification is done through
other state agencies, the Health Department is authorized to perform sanitation and
safety inspections by Florida Statute 381.006(16). Facilities with kitchens serving 17 or
more clients also receive a quarterly food service inspection. Residential facility
standards are under Chapter 64E-12, Florida Administrative Code
