Mobile Home Parks

There are over 35 mobile home and RV parks in St. Lucie County. These range from small, overnight camping to sprawling residential neighborhood-type communities. Each is permitted and inspected by Health Department staff twice a year. Inspections are centered upon proper maintenance and sanitation of facilities and common area. The statewide mobile home and recreational vehicle rules in Chapter 64E-15, Florida Administrative Code Opens in new window (50.3kb PDF) are used to determine compliance. There are no local ordinances addressing health and safety issues at these establishments but the Health Department works closely with the various code enforcement agencies to assure proper standards are maintained.
