Each year, the St. Lucie County Health Department promotes and participates in Step Up, Florida, a statewide initiative promoting physical activity and healthy lifestyles to Florida's citizens and visitors. Step Up, Florida! is a time for everyone to get active and get healthy by taking advantage of the great physical activity opportunities that Florida has to offer. Activities may include:

• canoeing and kayaking
• nature walks
• bicycle rides
• Jazzercise
• Horseback riding
• River Cruise
• Yoga

Thousands of children and adults participate in this landmark event each year, which motivates residents of all ages to become more involved in physical activity in order to have fun and improve their health.
